My name is Christine Anne Engelbrecht and I am an English/Language Arts teacher, specializing in literacy and high school instruction. Ultimately, I hope to teach at the college level or become a district curriculum coordinator.

My passions are teaching, reading young adult literature, journaling and writing, watching and analyzing films, traveling and oil painting.

RECENT PROJECT

I recently fleshed out the Academic Skills Lab (ASL) curriculum to target the needs of Los Alamos High School's student population and the the context of the 2020 Covid 19 Pandemic which forced instruction to move to online learning platforms.

RECENT PROJECT

I am working with my English Department colleagues to adopt curriculum from California State University's Expository Reading & Writing Curriculum (ERWC) for use in 9-12 advance, regular, inclusion, and self contained English classes.
